Archives and documents are the bedrock of civilization. It is important to preserve the history of Sulaymaniyah city through its many events, both significant and trivial. Recording the city’s history, particularly from the perspective of women, is vital and necessary. There are numerous accomplished women in our community whose stories deserve to be told.

With this purpose in mind, the Hiwa Foundation initiated a series of documentaries featuring remarkable women from Sulaymaniyah. The primary aim of this project is to introduce and pay tribute to women who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of the city. Through documentary interviews, these women share their experiences and success stories. This project helps to preserve the history, expertise, talents, and life stories of these exceptional women, ensuring that they are not forgotten by future generations.
